You're correct what we should have smaller government, however the current Bush government is not small as it's supposed to be. And, I doubt that McCain will manage to reduce the government's size. He will have to support people and economy with Dollar money during the financial crisis anyway (who is socialistic here?). The current government and if McCain is elected, they will be wide off their Republican's core. Furthermore, I didn't see much that Republicans invested much in this country in the last eight years (except in upper class) and they mostly focused on foreign policy. They have exploited power too much so that we don't need more exploitation.
Can Obama manage to change something? I don't know. In my eyes, all politicians, whether Democratic or Republican, are the same so that I lose believe in them.
