I was the interpreter. A funny (er, not so funny to me) part of the back-story here was that I thought we were posing for a still photograph. The videographer called me over to stand next to this Obama staffer and I stood there smiling and posing. Suddenly the staffer started talking and I realized that we were being videotaped and that I was supposed to interpret. I tried to stop the process to get oriented, but no go. On with the show! Yikes. Don't let this happen to you! :-)

the interpreter did ok ok.... hmm good video anyway! wonder if there's any mccain staffer who's gonna explain their candidate's support of the deaf.

Unfortunately, no.

No republican staffers were present at that debate except for Emory Dively representing his own candidacy.
